THREE teenagers have been arrested and bailed on suspicion of wounding after a man was stabbed in the centre of Ipswich.The youngsters, aged 15, 16 and 17 were bailed pending further inquiries after being quizzed over the attack that happened outside the Tower Ramparts shopping centre at the bus terminus.

The youngsters, aged 15, 16 and 17 were bailed pending further inquiries after being quizzed over the attack that happened outside the Tower Ramparts shopping centre at the bus terminus.

They are to report to Ipswich police station on December 21.

Ambulance crews were alerted to the attack after the a passer by spotted the victim, who had been stabbed in the back, at around 10.20pm on Wednesday night.

The three men, who all come from the Ipswich area, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Wednesday night but were yesterday bailed on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The victim, who is believed to be in his 20's and comes from Ipswich is said to be comfortable in Heath Road hospital.

Police investigating the attack are keen to talk to a woman who spoke to the group of youths, to help them with their inquiry.
