TWO teenagers were arrested today after the car they are alleged to have stolen ended up in a ditch in Ipswich.

TWO teenagers were arrested today after the car they are alleged to have stolen ended up in a ditch in Ipswich.

The incident happened on the Boss Hall Estate after a car allegedly failed to stop for police in the early hours of this morning.

Officers in a marked vehicle, the force helicopter and a dog unit were drafted in to help with the pursuit, which ended when the car came off the road in Tanners View.

When officers arrived on scene, they found of one of the teenagers trapped under the vehicle.

Firefighters were called at around 2.20am to free the boy. He was then taken to Ipswich Hospital with leg injuries. The other teenager was apprehended at the scene.

A 19-year-old and a 16-year-old, both from Ipswich, are in police custody being questioned over the alleged incident.
