BRACE yourselves for colder weather this week with the arrival of an Arctic wind.

It is time to wrap up warm as the rain seen at the weekend is set to be replaced with chilly temperatures.

The highest temperature expected for the early part of this week is 10C (50F). This is expected to drop even further to 8C (47F) later in the week.

Weatherman Ken Blowers said: “A cold spell is on the way as there is a plunge of cold air from the Arctic, which will spread across East Anglia.

“There will be sunny spells and a few showers of sleet or hale. Most of the time it will be dry and bright.

“This will be an early foretaste of winter. It will be as cold as it normally would be at the end of November.”

Suffolk escaped some of the country's more serious flooding incidents as despite teeming rain for most of yesterday, only around half an inch of rain fell in the region over the weekend.
