Terri on TV

TERRI Calvesbert is used to being surrounded by TV cameras, but on Monday morning she and her dad Paul are due to be giving their first ever live interview.

On the same day as Anglia TV is due to air its documentary about the little girl's life Paul and Terri will also be appearing on This Morning.

The morning chat show is aired from 10.30am until 12.30pm and presented by Fern Britten and Philip Schofield.

A little nervous about the interview Paul said: "I have never done it live before so hopefully I won't say anything that they would have normally taken out!"

He suspects the normally cheeky six-year-old might be unusually quiet once they sit on the This Morning sofa.

Since news was released about Monday's documentary, there has been a huge national media interest.

Features have been published in a Sunday newspaper as well as a national magazine.

People all over the country have been flocking to send well-wishing messages to Terri and Paul after reading of how she received 90 per cent burns as a baby following a fire at her Chantry home in 1998.

Some say they have been moved to tears by Terri's courage and bravery and Paul's unstinting love and devotion for her.

Her brave fight even prompted a group of Belfast firemen to put a picture of her on their station wall to remind them why they did the job.

Since the fire, more than £100,000 has come pouring in to the Terri Calvesbert Appeal, set up by the Evening Star to help out with the little girl's future.

In the last two weeks a deluge of donations have come in to the appeal taking it up to more than £120,000.

To add to the ever increasing amount, donations should be made out to the Terri Calvesbert Appeal and sent to Geraldine Thompson, Evening Star, 30 Lower Brook Street, Ipswich IP4 1AN.
