The spirit of Christmas was captured perfectly at an Ipswich care home where residents were treated to a children’s carol service.
Youngsters at The Willows Daycare, based in Magdalene Close, performed traditional Christmas songs to residents at Park View Care Home in Chantry Close.
The two settings have built up a community partnership since September.
Abi Stannard, early years professional at The Willows Daycare, which provides care for babies and children up to the age of 11, said the link-up has had a positive impact on their children and the care home residents.
She said: “Our visits have been such a success and we aim to continue them into the New Year.
“We take a short walk to the bus stop from our setting and it is very exciting for them to travel on the bus. We get a great opportunity to connect with our community.
“It gives everyone – the children, the older adults, and the staff – a great feeling.”
