A NATIONAL Theatre Group is to tour Suffolk, it was announced today.

Education access organisation Aimhigher Suffolk has paid for the Educational Theatre Company, CragRats, to tour Suffolk schools until March 23 to tell year nine students about higher education as well as highlighting the benefits of University Campus Suffolk (UCS).

Julian Illman, Aimhigher Suffolk area manager, said: “Aimhigher Suffolk is delighted to fund the CragRats tour again this year. Last year saw a fantastic response from Suffolk's students to the CragRats production.

“It is seen as a unique method of informing students about the higher education option through a fun and interactive performance.

“The production gives Aimhigher Suffolk another exceptional method of communication to raise awareness of higher education to increase participation rates throughout the county.”

CragRats has developed a specific script for the county aiming to engage and motivate Suffolk's young people into thinking about higher education.

If you would like to visit a school to see the CragRats production or for more information on the tour, please contact Rebecca Capron, widening participation officer, Aimhigher Suffolk on 01473 343624 or email r.capron@ucs.ac.uk
