A charity ball hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for Alzheimer’s research is coming to Ipswich Corn Exchange’s grand hall later this month.
Hosted by town mayor Roger Fern, tickets for the event – booked for March 25 – are still on sale.
Guests will be greeted by the mayor at a special reception before sitting down for a four-course meal.
All cash raised at the event will go towards Mr Fern’s chosen charities, the Alzheimer’s Society and IHAG, a service for homeless and marginalised people at the town’s Chapman Centre.
“The reception will be followed by a grand four-course meal, along with some splendid entertainment, including an auction, cabaret and a tombola,” said Mr Fern.
This year’s ball has support from We Are Ipswich, a collective of arts and cultural organisations.
Tickets cost £65 per person, or £600 for a table of 10. Call 01473 432641 or email mayor@ipswich.gov.uk to book.
