DEAN and Scott may have gone – but they'll never be forgotten.

That's the message today as the blanket of floral tributes grows along the pavement on Bishops Hill where the two schoolfriends' lives were cut tragically short.

More than 200 tributes have so far been left – from the boys' families, friends and people who did not know them but who have been touched by the tragedy.

Many of tributes are from friends expressing their shock and disbelief about the tragedy.

Several simply have one word on them: Why?

Others are very simple messages expressing support for the boys families at this tragic time.

Among the messages are:

Dear Dean and Scott.

I keep asking myself why you? I don't understand but there will always be a piece in my heart 4u & Scott. Everyone's gonna miss you 2 lads. I hope you have fun in the hands of God.

From a Mother.
