POLICE in Norfolk have linked the latest armed robbery with a series of similar incidents in the past few weeks.The latest robbery took place in the early hours of this morning at Weeting Bowls Club, near Thetford, when three men wearing balaclavas forced their way into the building by using a metal bar and brandished a handgun.

The latest robbery took place in the early hours of this morning at Weeting Bowls Club, near Thetford, when three men wearing balaclavas forced their way into the building by using a metal bar and brandished a handgun.

No shots were fired but they escaped with a quantity of cash, before making a getaway in a car waiting outside.

The other robberies took place in Potts Row, North Runcton and Upwell between Friday and Sunday .

Police are asking people to remain vigilant, particularly business owners.

All the incidents involved masked armed gangs breaking into homes and stealing a quantity of goods.
