THOUSANDS of Ipswich Town fans were today jetting out to Milan for the club's crunch match with Inter.

Despite fog problems which forced flights to Milan Airport to be diverted yesterday, today it was clear and there were no delays for fans jetting out.

A strike by French air traffic controllers had caused some concern, but was not affecting flights to northern Italy.

Yesterday some of the advance guard of Town supporters had their flights diverted to other airports in northern Italy and had to be bussed to Milan as heavy fog surrounded parts of the city.

But this morning the city was clear as the airlift of the main bulk of George Burley's Blue and White Army got underway.
