A 22-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences after police carried out a warrant at an address in Ipswich yesterday.

Officers went to a home in Shackleton Road and carried out a search. A quantity of cannabis and wraps of class A drugs were seized, along with cash and scales.

Three people were arrested – the 22-year-old, a 56-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman – on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply, and they were taken into custody at Martlesham police investigation xentre where they were interviewed in connection with the finds.

The 56-year-old and 51-year-old have now been bailed to return to police on April 20, pending further enquiries.

He was detained in custody pending an appearance before Ipswich Magistrates this morning and has now been remanded in custody pending his next court appearance at Ipswich Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
