FIRE crews were called out to tackle a series of vehicle fires in the early hours of this morning.

FIRE crews were called out to tackle a series of vehicle fires in the early hours of this morning.

The first blaze was reported to the fire brigade at about 12.20am in Melton Road, Melton.

Firefighters from Woodbridge and Colchester Road fire station discovered a car fire when they arrived at the scene.

Using two breathing sets the crews had the incident under control by around 12.40am.

Whilst the first fire was being fought two crews from Princes Street and Colchester Road fire stations were also called to Melton to a push bike fire at the railway station.

The call came in at about 12.30am and took around ten minutes to put out.

The third fire was reported to the fire service shortly before 3am.

When the arrived at the scene in St David's Road, Ipswich firefighters from Princes Street fire station were faced with another car fire, which they extinguished using two breathing sets.
