We kick things off at a packed out Foxhall Stadium where the world hot rod finals were taking place around the oval track. The stands were packed to the rafters, as these photos show.

We head over next to the Corn Exchange where the main hall was transformed for a visit from the Antiques Roadshow cameras.

There were plenty of antiques on show all brought in from the people of Ipswich to be inspected and evaluated by the television shows professionals. We wonder if they uncovered any valuable gems here in Ipswich?

With the sun out, the conditions were ideal for the Ipswich Gala and summer fete.

Princes Street fire station also held an open day where they put on displays showing how they dealt with a series of emergency situations.
