That time of the week is here again, each Thursday we look back at a snaphot of the town’s past
We kick things off at St Clements Hospital fete, with a variety of stalls dotted around there were plenty of visitors spending money and supporting the cause.
Next we head to Ipswich airport for a visit from a rather different looking aircraft. An airship made its way to the airfield for a quick pit-stop.
There was plenty going on at different schools around Ipswich too, the then Oakhill Preparatory School was holding its annual sports day where pupils could be seen participating in sack races, Dale Hall held its own Tudor day, while Holywells High School went for something a bit different and dressed up as their favourite book characters for a themed fun run.
Finally we go to Ipswich gala day where children battled it out trying to knock each other off a wooden trunk using sacks to try and shake the other off balance.
