An Ipswich mental health charity is staging a poetry event served with a side of hot soup.
Inside Out Community is hosting ‘Poetry Soup’ at the Avenue Theatre, Gippeswyk Hall, Ipswich, on Saturday, November 18 from 12-2pm.
Suffolk-based Welsh poet Ian Griffiths will perform work by Dylan Thomas and a selection of poems from his own recently published collection, ‘Conversations with Birds’.
People who have been supported by Inside Out Community will also perform poetry written in therapeutic writing workshops run by the charity.
Attendees will be able to enjoy a lunch of soup.

Inside Out Community offers creative activities to people struggling with mental health challenges.
The charity launched in 2003 and supports 80-100 people in Suffolk every year.
