A TWO-year-old child is fighting for his life today after the Suffolk house he was in went up in flames.
Firefighters battled the blaze and launched a dramatic search when the toddler could not be found.
The fire started a house in Kessingland at around 8.30am today and the youngster was missing for a time.
Two adults and a three-year-old child were rescued from the house.
The three-year-old was said to be suffering from smoke inhalation.
Paramedics raced to resuscitate the two-year-old boy – it is unclear how he got out of the house - as he was taken by ambulance to James Paget Hospital in Gorleston.
Fire crews from Wrentham, Clifton and Normanshurst were called to tackle the fire, which was under control by around 9am.
As the Evening Star went to press, it is not clear how the fire started although fire investigators are expected to luanch an investigation to ascertain the cause later today.
