Ipswich Town star Tommy Smith has presented young players from Eye Saints FC with a brand new football kit and equipment as part of a national giveaway.
The under 13s team were greeted by Tommy in the first-team dressing room before facing the cameras for an official photo on the Portman Road pitch.
They then had the chance to grill the Town defender in a Q&A session in the club’s media suite.
The prize was part of a competition run by Wickes which invited junior sides to share their stories for a chance to win a new strip.
Tommy said: “Eye Saints seemed pleased with their new kit and they really looked the part.
“This is a great initiative from Wickes and the EFL in support of grassroots football and I’m sure youth teams across the country were equally thrilled with their new kits.”
The youngsters also won tickets to Town’s home fixture against Newcastle United on April 17.
