AN exclusive Suffolk venue has today announced its support of the Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball with a fantastic auction prize.

Hintlesham Golf Club is offering a four ball on their championship course while Hintlesham Hall is offering dinner for four including two bottles of recommended wine at their 3AA Rosette restaurant as one of the top lots at the glittering event.

Hintlesham Hall's Managing Director, Dee Ludlow, said: “We are delighted to support this year's Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball.

“The event supports some fantastic and deserving charities and we are thrilled to be able to offer a lot for their auction.”

After this year's event was launched with headline acts, including Eurovision winners The Original Bucks Fizz and X-Factor contestant Adam Chandler, interest in the Press Ball has been huge. The Champagne Ball theme is expected to be the last word in luxury and sophistication.

Organisers are hoping to raise a whopping £20,000 for the event's chosen charities, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CFT) and Disability Care Enterprise.

Sandra Howarth, spokeswoman for the CFT in the Eastern region, said: “This is a fabulous auction prize and extremely generous of Hintlesham Hall and Hintlesham Golf Club and I'd like to thank all those donating such wonderful prizes.”

The Press Ball is to be held at the Hotel Elizabeth, Copdock on June 20. Music, dancing, fine food and wines will be followed by the auction and tombola with prizes donated by a number of businesses and organisations.

Evening Star editor Nigel Pickover said: “This is an amazing auction prize and we cannot thank Hintlesham Hall and Hintlesham Golf Club enough for their support.

“With these prizes and the other prizes which have been so generously donated, we are looking forward to a brilliant night for our chosen charities.”

Regularly and strongly supported by the county's business community, the Press Ball is once again sponsored by Ipswich firm Call Connection.

The estate is approached by an impressive tree-lined drive giving access to the hotel and restaurant, the health and fitness club, the heli pad and the associated championship golf course.

Hintlesham Hall's 3 AA Rosette restaurant ranks independently in the top 10 per cent in the country, offering a wonderful selection of dishes and an award winning wine list.

Depending on the season you can choose to eat by one of the roaring log fires or, in summer, dine al fresco on the extensive terracing and enjoy being in the magnificent grounds. Either way, you will be served by a professional, friendly team.
