SUFFOLK Constabulary's chief constable Alastair McWhirter has been appointed chairman of Suffolk Primary Care Trust's board, it was revealed today.
SUFFOLK Constabulary's chief constable Alastair McWhirter has been appointed chairman of Suffolk Primary Care Trust's board, it was revealed today.
Mr McWhirter is retiring from his position as chief constable at the end of March after a 30-year police career.
His appointment as chairman of the PCT board will take effect from April 1 and he will serve on the board until March 31, 2011.
