IPSWICH Town has apologised to fans travelling on the official club trip to Luxembourg this week after forced changes to the schedule.

Blues supporters will face an extra 40 minutes on their journey times to watch the club's UEFA Cup tie with Avenir Beggin on Thursdaywith new locations for departing and arriving airports.

Travel Management Group, who deal with the club's official travel, have been forced to amend the locations for the one-day air trips.

The flight will now depart from Luton, rather than Stansted, and will fly into Metz, France, instead of Luxembourg. The journey from Metz to Luxembourg adds about 40 minutes to travelling time.

The changes have been forced by Luxembourg airport refusing permission for late evening flights and Stansted being unable to offer a night landing slot.

Both Ipswich Town Football Club and Travel Management Group have apologised for any inconvenience.
