ANGRY Ipswich boss Jim Magilton has carpeted five players after an alleged breach of discipline.

First team regulars Alan Lee and Gary Roberts, together with fringe trio Darryl Knights, Chris Casement and Scott Barron, infuriated Magilton by taking a two-day break in Amsterdam last week.

The Evening Star understands that Lee and Roberts, who only completed a £220,000 permanent move from Accrington Stanley this month, have both been warned as to their future conduct.

The others, all of whom have first team experience, albeit limited, have been told their futures at the club are in jeopardy.

Former Chantry High School pupil Knights is already on his way out of Portman Road after being loaned to Scottish Premier League club Falkirk with a view to a permanent move.

Barron has made 17 first team appearances but he has not featured at all this season, other than as an unused substitute for the game at Birmingham back in September.

Casement, meanwhile, was a second-half substitute in Town's lack-lustre goalless draw at Chester on Saturday and has regularly been touted as a future star.
