IPSWICH Town legend Fabian Wilnis gave a warm welcome to fans of the Tractor Boys when he signed calendars at a supermarket in the town.

The Dutch defender was on hand at Asda in Whitehouse at the weekend with a large stock of Fab10 calendars, marking his testimonial year after joining Ipswich town in 1999.

Duty manager at Asda Jeff Noga said: “There have been a lot of people coming to get a calendar signed - the turnout has probably been even better than we expected.

“At the start there was a huge queue of people keen to meet Fabian and get their calendar. Hopefully this will raise awareness of his forthcoming testimonial.”

Wilnis will also be present to sign calendars at the Asda store in Stowmarket between noon and 3pm on Sunday December 14.
