POWER cuts hit businesses across central Ipswich after fire broke out at a town store.

Fire fighters were called to Primark in Westgate Street shortly after 10.

POWER cuts hit businesses across central Ipswich after fire broke out at a town store.

Fire fighters were called to Primark in Westgate Street shortly after 10.10am following reports of smoke billowing from the rear loading bay of the premises which houses an electrical sub-station.

The store was evacuated and there were no reports of any one trapped in the building.
