The depressed state of the transfer market means that this has to be the case as the Blues battle off the field for financial survival along with a host of other clubs.
There is interest in a number of players at a Portman Road club paying a heavy price for Premiership relegation.
The days of inflated fees are certainly over.
I understand that Town may be prepared to take a little as £1million for Marcus Stewart, the 28-year-old striker who in two years in the Premiership hit 31 goals.
