On Wednesday evening, all was gloom and doom at the Brasher household in Pinewood.

Now they're all having Swede Dreams after Town were drawn Helsingborgs in the next round of the UEFA Cup.

The Brashers had been due to go to go to Moscow to support the Tractor Boys in their battle with Torpedo – but had to stay at home after a visa mix-up.

But their misery turned to joy shortly after 7pm last night as Finidi George put Town ahead in Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.

And as Town fans savoured the club's first competitive away win this season, there were hopes that the result could prove a springboard for more Tractor Boys success.

The result also led to red faces for Norwich fans who had been circling like green and yellow vultures expecting Town to slip up after the club only managed to draw at home.

But the Canaries had already had their feathers ruffled by a 4-0 defeat at Preston on Wednesday.

At homes and pubs around Suffolk, life came to a standstill for two hours as fans tuned in to Channel Five for the second live terrestrial match featuring Ipswich in a week.

The match was a hit and miss affair – Ipswich hit the heights and Torpedo missed an open goal.
