COME on you Bloooos!

If she could speak I am almost certain that this would be the chant of this young whipper snapper - Phoebe Grove.

Why else would she be sporting a Tractor Dogs outfit if she were not an ardent supporter of Ipswich Town?

Now I know that one-year-old Phoebe is an ardent Town supporter because she comes with her owners - Tina and Michael Grove - to all home games.

COME on you Bloooos!

If she could speak I am almost certain that this would be the chant of this young whipper snapper – Phoebe Grove.

Why else would she be sporting a Tractor Dogs outfit if she were not an ardent supporter of Ipswich Town?

Now I know that one-year-old Phoebe is an ardent Town supporter because she comes with her owners – Tina and Michael Grove – to all home games.

And they don't just live down the road from Town's home ground, either, the family lives in deepest Essex.

Still, Phoebe, a chihuahua-cross youngster, is an absolute cutie and I particularly love the added touch of seeing her snuggled down on the seat of a tractor. It makes the picture all the more special.

Of course I decided to snatch this photo of Phoebe away from my newsdesk colleagues and use the opportunity to remind everyone that our search for Tractor Dogs is almost complete. Soon those pooches who are big-enough fans of Ipswich Town will know who is to receive a free coat just like Phoebe's.

This young lady pictured here is obviously a strong contender as Tina took a lot of trouble to buy her canine pet one of the coats from the soccerdogcoats website.

The web site, as you may also know, is the place for footie-loving dogs with some club allegiance. Included on the site is details – and measurement instructions – for ordering them all including Tractor Dogs gear.

According to intelligence received from the Tractor Dog Department here, there has been quite a good response to our search and as I mentioned earlier, the winners should be announced in the next few days.

There were a few hairy moments when the list of entrants was so closely contested that the Tractor Dog searchers thought there would be no clear winners. Gladly that's looking more of an open field now.

But while on the subject of Tractor Dogs merchandise, what happened about political correctness? Why can we not have Tractor Cats too?

Because we Brits are a nation of pet lovers it had to happen that our doggies would be included in the merchandise up for grabs and what is good for man (and woman) is good for our best friends too.

So what about Tractor Cats?

I have been getting a right old earful from my beloved (and the kids) asking why we can't buy Ipswich Town gear for our little moggy.

And the reason is, I tell them, because no one has thought about it yet.

So now it has been thought of, how about it someone. What about something that we can buy to help prevent our moggies getting soggy in the rain and hail of winter?

In the meantime, if you want to tog your dog out in a Town supporter's outfit then look it up on the website: www.soccerdogs.co.uk
