TRAFFIC chaos was caused following an accident on the A14 today.
Motorists got caught in huge tailbacks after the smash near to the Nacton turning and the Orwell bridge at around 3.15pm.
The traffic jams, which stretched from the Wherstead turn off to Nacton on the eastbound carriageway, were exacerbated after several cars caught up in the queues broke down.
It is believed that only one car was involved in the crash and no-one was taken to hospital.
