Drivers have reported “traffic chaos” around Ipswich as people flock to Jimmy’s Farm’s Sausage and Beer Festival.

The A12/A14 roundabout at Copdock and the A14 junction at Wherstead were congested this morning and in the early afternoon.

Police said they sent officers out to help ease the traffic problems – with one member of the public describing the situation as “chaotic”.

Despite warnings from festival bosses that tickets for today were sold out, some motorists seem to have still attempted to get to the event.

According to Jimmy Farm’s website, day tickets for tomorrow (Sunday) are still available. Booking in advance is recommended.
