The slip road off the A14 at Westley has been closed because of flooding and the expectation of more rain to come.
One lane of the main carriageway was closed yesterday but reopened in the early hours of this morning. However a spokeswoman for the Highways Agency said the slip road will stay closed, until possibly Saturday, as there is a small amount of water remaining.
She said: “There is more rain expected tomorrow and Saturday so we want to make sure it is safe before the road is opened again.
“The advice to drivers in the rain is to slow down, drive carefully with the headlights on, and allow extra space between vehicles to avoid accidents.”
