The A14 has fully reopened after a four-vehicle crash near the Orwell Bridge.

Officers were called to the crash involving three vehicles and a bus in the eastbound carriageway at about 8am on Monday.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said they were called to reports of a multi-vehicle crash.

There has been no reports of any injuries, the spokeswoman added.

One lane of the eastbound carriageway was closed, Suffolk police confirmed.

In a Tweet National Highways East said: "Lane two is closed on the A14 eastbound between junction 56 and junction 57 near Ipswich and the Orwell Bridge due to a multi-vehicle collision.

"Emergency services are in attendance.

"There are approximately three miles of congestion on approach causing 45-minute delays above normal travel time."

The crash also caused around two miles of congestion on the A12 northbound approaching the Copdock Interchange.

The lane was cleared by 10.30am.
