DETAILS were emerging today of a family tragedy at Felixstowe Ferry in which a mother died in the River Deben.
Hospital staff desperately tried to save the woman after she was rescued from the water by the crew of an RAF rescue helicopter at Wattisham.
The woman, believed to be in her 40s and from the Ipswich area, was alive when she was rescued but died later at Ipswich Hospital.
