COMMUTERS at Ipswich station faced long delays today following a false alarm over a fatality in Essex.
The mainline services for rail operator one, between Norwich and London Liverpool Street, were disrupted after a person was hit by a train in Brentwood at around 7.45am.
It was suspected to be a fatality at first but further investigations proved the person was not injured after the collision.
Rail users faced delays of up to an hour as several trains were cancelled and delayed. Normal services were resumed by 8.45am.
