Union members are protesting about the introduction of new ticketing machines on some trains - and have voted for a series of one-day strikes.
There are more services operating today than there were during the first strike two weeks ago, and rail managers were hoping that some extra services might be able to run if more staff come into work.

The conductors, ticket examiners and revenue protection inspectors, will strike on June 27 and July 15 if the dispute has not been resolved.
The strike is over the introduction of new ticket machines - and the commission rates that are paid to operators who use them.
RMT general secretary Bob Crow also warned that union members working in booking offices could also be balloted for strikes in a separate row involving new technology.
The rail company has negotiated with bus company First to allow passengers to use rail tickets on bus services between Ipswich and Felixstowe and Ipswich and Saxmundham.
Meanwhile in a separate dispute, hundreds of dock workers - including dozens in Ipswich - have started voting on whether to go on strike in a long-running dispute over pay.
More than 300 members of the Transport and General Workers Union at Associated British Ports have already rejected a 2.9 per cent wage offer.
The union said the company was enjoying "real growth and success", with increased profits of £142 million.
"This is a successful, growing company whose achievements owe much to the effort of their workforce which is moving more goods at the ports,' said national officer Graham Stevenson.
Workers taking part in the strike ballot are based at ports including Ipswich, Lowestoft, Teignmouth, Swansea, Newport, Goole, Grimsby, Hull, Immingham and Kings Lynn.
The ballot result will be known at the end of the month.
