Work on a new 100-bed Travelodge hotel in Ipswich looks set to begin later this spring or summer after developers lodged a number of minor amendments.
Ipswich Borough Council gave planning permission in September last year for the hotel chain to build a 100-bedroom hotel and off Ranelagh Road near Ipswich Train Station.
Work has not yet started, and an application to vary a number of conditions because of amendments needed for the project was lodged last month.
It will go before the council in April, after which work is expected to start.
The application said: “The proposed minor material amendments do not deviate from the original design intent of the approved scheme and are well designed and sustainable.
“The proposals would not cause harm to the amenities of neighbouring buildings and are compliant with the relevant policies of the Development Plan.”
