A LORRY has collided with a tree in Bentley this morning, knocking it into the road and blocking the carriageway to traffic.
The drama unfolded in Station Road, the main road through the village at about 7.55am.
A Suffolk police spokesman said the tree has fallen across the width of the road.
He said: “We are waiting for Highways to arrive before the removal of the tree can take place.
“The road is expected to be closed for sometime while we wait for the tree surgeon.”
The fire service is also at the scene and it is thought no-one was injured in the accident.
