A SUFFOLK man allegedly performed a sex act on a woman after she had refused to kiss him at a party, a jury has heard.

In the first day of the trial of Neil Addison, 33, of Burgess Place, Martlesham Heath, the jury at Ipswich Crown Court heard that he allegedly took advantage of the victim while she slept in her bed.

Gerrard Renouf, prosecuting, told the court that Addison had attended a house party in Trimley St Mary.

After a meal, in which red and white wine had been consumed, everyone in the house carried on drinking in an area which had been converted into a bar.

Later in the evening the alleged victim felt unwell due to her alcohol consumption and went to bed. It is while she was sleeping that Addison allegedly performed oral sex on her without consent, the court was told.

The woman told the jury of Addison's alleged actions.

She said: "When we were going out to the bar, he stopped me under the kitchen window and told me about a girl he wanted to go out with, but said he wished I had a sister as he would 'have her'," she said.

"He was drunk and kissed me on the cheek – I turned my face as I didn't want to kiss him. I then pushed past him as he was in my way.

"I was feeling happy and relaxed but then I didn't feel very well and went to bed. I went to sleep and didn't wake up until 7am the following morning".

The woman said that when she woke up her husband was beside her but the air smelt of cigarettes and drink.

Neither her or her husband smoked and she described the aroma as "Neil's smell".

She said that the following morning she was unaware of the alleged incident until Addison came round to their house.

"He never normally comes round and that morning he did," she said. "He was just looking at me. He came up behind me and asked if I remembered anything about the night before. I said I didn't and he said it was best that way"

She alleged that Addison claimed they had sex together and she described him as "looking pleased with himself".

Later that day Addison and the woman exchanged text messages via mobile phones. Addison sent her a message saying  "I'm dead" referring to his situation if her husband found out.

She replied to the message "I already am".
