An Ipswich music group will bring the house down in a bid to raise money to restore a Grade I listed building that was built in 1699.

Trianon Music Group Will perform the first of a duo of autumn concerts at the Unitarian Meeting House in Ipswich on Saturday, October 13.

The group, who host singers and brass players, will perform a range of music from baroque dance through contemporary ballads by Grieg, Lennon and McCartney and Frank Sinatra.

The cost of the repair works to the meeting house will be in the region of £400,000 to £450,000.

It is anticipated that a large proportion of the funding will be provided by Historic England, with charity work raising other money that will help the restoration.

The concert will start at 7.30pm at the meeting house and tickets, that include a glass of wine are £8. They can be booked by calling 07763 668038 or will be on sale at the door on the night.
