GRIEVING parents have paid tribute their 10-year-old daughter who died after being pulled from the sea off the Suffolk coast.

Ten-year-old Katie Taylor-Boggis, from Lowestoft, disappeared while swimming near the town's Claremont Pier on Saturday.

She was pulled from the water more than an hour after she was reported missing, but died despite extensive efforts to resuscitate her.

Today her family said in a heartfelt statement: “Kate was our bright star shining wherever she went - a girly girl whose world was pink.

“Even natured and loyal to her friends, always loving and caring, enjoying life her way. Our little girl was the best we could have asked for.

“She will always be missed and in our thoughts, our love she has for always. We were truly blessed in Kate."
