TRIBUTES for much-loved Ipswich MP Jamie Cann have been coming in to our offices ever since news of his death was announced by his family.

We would like to give you the opportunity to send us your tributes to the popular MP by visiting our website on www.eveningstar.co.uk and following the links to write a tribute.

Among the tributes that have already come is one from Bill Vinyard, who stood against Mr Cann in two general elections for the UK Independence Party.

He wrote: "It is a sad time for Ipswich having lost Jamie Cann so soon after his third election victory.

"He was a tireless worker on behalf of his constituents and his popularity was well earned. I wish to express my condolences to his family," he wrote.

We are also passing on a sympathy card to the family from Chris and Eddie Stannard of Kittiwake Close.

On our website we have tributes from Mr Cann's friends and colleagues, and also a selection of his "Canned Cann" column that he wrote from Westminster as the town's MP.
