Trucker airlifted to hospital

A TRUCKER was airlifted to hospital today after the lorry he was driving left the road and ended up in a ditch.

The man sustained back and neck injuries that were not believed to be serious but the air ambulance was the nearest resource available, a spokesman for the East Anglian Ambulance Trust said.

The truck, which was pulling a 40ft trailer, was the only vehicle involved in the accident, which occurred on the Debenham to Kenton Road, shortly before 2.30pm.
