TELEVISION presenter Nick Knowles rescued a mother and her eight-week-old baby girl from an overturned car today.
Knowles, who presents the BBC's DIY SOS and Wildest Dreams, was travelling to work on the B3227 close to Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton, Somerset, when he noticed an overturned black Ford Mondeo in a field.
Knowles and another passing motorist discovered Claire Williams and her eight-week-old daughter Alexandra in the car and pulled them to safety.
A passing nurse also stopped and treated the mother, who was suffering from neck problems.
A police spokesman said the baby was not injured, and Ms Williams suffered only minor injuries.
