Two arrested after three hurt in attack

TWO men are on police bail today after a fight in which a man was stabbed at a terraced house in Ipswich.

Three people required hospital treatment following the incident which occurred in Clarkson Street.

One of the men involved is still recovering at Ipswich Hospital today where he has been detained due to head injuries he sustained during the fight.

Police were called to the house on the outskirts of the town centre following an anonymous call at 3.10am yesterday after reports of a disturbance.

When they arrived they discovered three men had been injured. Two of them had suffered head injuries while the other had stab wounds.

None of the injuries are believed to have been life threatening.

After receiving hospital treatment for their injuries, two of those involved – a 29-year-old from Ipswich who was the man stabbed and a 39-year-old, also from Ipswich – were discharged from the hospital in Heath Road.

They were questioned by officers who had arrested them on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.

The pair have been bailed to reappear at Ipswich police station on Tuesday, December 18.
