TWO teenagers have been arrested by police in connection with an investigation into alleged racist chanting at Ipswich Town's FA Cup match with Portsmouth.

TWO teenagers have been arrested by police in connection with an investigation into alleged racist chanting at Ipswich Town's FA Cup match with Portsmouth.

An 18-year-old man from Elmswell and a 16-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds were arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress and taken to Ipswich police station on Saturday.

The pair have been bailed to return to the station on February 2, while further enquiries take place.
