IPSWICH: A teenager and a 20-year-old man have been charged following two alleged robberies in Ipswich.
The first took place at around 4pm on Friday when a 19-year-old was allegedly attacked at the junction of Norwich Road and Yarmouth Road. He was threatened before his Blackberry Curve mobile phone was stolen.
Then, around half-an-hour later, another 19-year-old was allegedly robbed in Yarmouth Road. Police said he was kicked in the head and left with a bloodied face, a swollen jaw and broken fingers after the attack near the river. The victim lost �30 and his hat in the incident.
A 16-year-old boy from Ipswich, who was arrested on Friday, has been charged with two counts of robbery.
Twenty-year-old Derrel Youngs, of Whitland Close, Ipswich, was also charged with two counts of robbery. A police spokesman said both would appear before magistrates today.
