TWO people including a teenage boy have been killed and a woman left with serious injuries after three horrific crashes on Suffolk's roads.

The 18-year-old died after two cars collided on the B1113 Loraine Way, in Bramford, just before 9.20pm yesterday.

A second youngster was thrown from the car in the collision but his injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

It involved a red Ford Escort, which the youngsters were in, and a green Rover 220. It is not believed anyone in the second vehicle suffered serious injuries.

The 18-year-old, who was local, is expected to be named by police later today.

The second tragedy happened just after 11.30pm when three cars were in a collision on the A134 at Ingham. One person was killed and police said they feared others had been injured.

Earlier, at around 8.05pm, there was a crash involving a red Rover 214 and an Army jeep on the B1078 at Barking.

One elderly woman was trapped in the wreckage and was released by firefighters. A Suffolk police spokeswoman said it was believed that she was suffering serious, but not life threatening, chest injuries and was taken to Ipswich Hospital.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk fire service said three appliances went to the scene - fire engines from Needham Market and Stowmarket, as well as a pump rescue tender from Ipswich.
