A DRIVER had a lucky escape on Christmas day after his car struck two horses on the A134 at Barnham, near Thetford.The incident happened at around 11.
SUFFOLK police are appealing for witnesses today after a motorist collided with two horses on the A134 at Barnham, near Thetford.
The incident happened at around 11.20pm yesterday on the Bury St Edmunds-bound carriageway. One of the horses was so badly injured that it had to be destroyed while the other was treated at the scene for minor injuries. It is currently being housed in a nearby farm.
It is thought that the horses had escaped from a nearby field and police are today trying to trace their owner.
