Two injured in crashes on Suffolk's road

TWO motorists are recovering today following separate accidents on Suffolk roads.

A female driver had to be cut free from a car by firefighters after her car collided head-on with another vehicle on London Road, at the junction with Robin Drive, Ipswich.

A female driver had to be cut free from a car by firefighters after her car collided head-on with another vehicle on London Road, at the junction with Robin Drive, Ipswich.

Hours earlier, a motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car in Debenham.

The woman injured in the Ipswich crash, whose details have not been released, was taken to Ipswich Hospital after the Ford Sierra she was driving was involved in an accident with a Fiat Tipo at around 5.40pm, yesterday.

The Fiat driver was unhurt in the smash which caused rush-hour tailbacks.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the collision.

Witnesses should call Suffolk police on 01473 613500.

A 50-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Ipswich Hospital with leg abrasions after his vehicle collided with a car at the Cross Street junction, Debenham, at about 3.20pm yesterday.
