Two men from Ipswich have been arrested after a series of raids during a national inquiry relating to counterfeit goods involving the music industry.

One of the raids occurred at a unit in Dales Court Business Centre in Dales Road, Ipswich.

The inquiry is part of a wide-ranging investigation involving TARIAN – a regional organised crime unit comprising of Dyfed-Powys, Gwent and South Wales police forces, The British Recorded Music Industry Ltd and Trading Standards.

The Dales Road raid took place on Wednesday. Officers were at the unit involved early in the morning and are said to have forced entry to the premises.

They remained there during the day and property, including computers, were taken away.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: “Two men, aged 23 and 49, have been arrested on suspicion of fraud and money laundering. They have been released on police bail until October.”

The suspects were detained at different addresses.
