The latest two arrests are in relation to incidents in Fuchsia Lane on March 6 and Nacton Crescent on March 7 in which shots were reportedly fired.

On Saturday police detained a 25-year-old man in Attleborough, Norfolk, on suspicion of firearms offences and grievous bodily harm.

He was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and was later bailed until May 3.

However, he was remanded in custody after being charged in relation to drugs crimes for which he was due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court today.

On Friday a 24-year-old man was arrested in Colchester, Essex, on suspicion of harassment and was bailed to return to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on April 29.

However, he was recalled to prison for breaching the terms of his licence.

Suffolk Constabulary believes these two crimes are linked to an arson attack at a property in Dandalan Close, which happened around 7.30pm on March 6.

Three other people - a 20-year-old man, a 21-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman - who were arrested in connection with the incidents have been released on bail until April 20.
