Two men robbed in Stratford St Mary

SUFFOLK Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery on two 18-year-old men.

The incident happened at 10pm on Thursday in Upper Street, Stratford St Mary.

SUFFOLK Police are today appealing for witnesses following a robbery on two 18-year-old men which saw one bitten on the nose.

The pair were walking along Upper Street towards The Swan public house in Stratford St Mary when a dark coloured BMW 3 series with three men inside, drove past and then reversed and stopped alongside them.

The two passengers got out of the car and started talking to them. One of the men was pushed to the ground and, while being threatened to hand over his money, he was bitten on the nose.

The victim had his money, watch and portable stereo taken from him.

The second teenager was also threatened by one of the offenders and punched. He handed over his wallet and cash was taken from inside.

The offenders then drove off in the direction of the A12.

As stated on the Evening Star website yesterday, both victims later received treatment at Colchester Hospital for minor facial injuries.

The first offender is white, aged 18-20 years old, 6ft, of slim build. He wore a blue and white baseball cap, long-sleeved blue T-shirt and navy jogging bottoms.

The second was also white, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, 18-20 years old, of stocky build, with short/skin-head hair. He wore a grey coat, black T-shirt, jeans and black shoes.

The driver of the car was white, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 8ins tall and wore a light-coloured hooded slipover sweat top and jeans.
